Maestro Dobel - The Brand

Dobel is short for Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta, the brand's founder, owner, and 11th-generation tequila producer. Maestro Dobel Tequila (NOM 1112) is sourced from a single estate and crafted from 100% blue agave. All agave is harvested when there is a peak concentration of sugars and notable agave essence in the flavor. The piñas are slow-cooked for 72 hours to extract the sugar, fermented, and double-distilled in copper (alembic) pot stills. The bottle shape is a modern twist on a vintage apothecary-style bottle, and the design of the heavily embossed bottle is inspired by the laboratory sample flasks used by the distillery's Maestro Tequileros. Each label is numbered and dated by hand.

Maestro Dobel Diamante

The Diamante expression is credited as one of the category's first Cristalino Tequilas. This product is a blend of Reposado, Añejo, and Extra-Añejo tequila, matured in toasted new white oak barrels from the Balkan region in Eastern Europe, double filtered, and bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV).

Maestro Dobel 50th Anniversary Extra-Añejo Cristalino

Maestro Dobel 50th is an Extra Añejo Cristalino Tequila created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the brand's founder Juan Domingo Beckmann Legorreta. This product strikes a balance between tradition and innovation. This expression uses agave sourced exclusively from a single family-owned estate at the base of a volcano in the lowlands of Jalisco. This agave is fully mature, between 8-12 years old, and harvested at the peak of its sugar concentration. The pinas are slow-cooked for 72 hours to extract the sugars, fermented, and double distilled in copper pot stills. This expression is aged in American and Eastern European oak barrels for a minimum of 3 years, filtered to remove the color, and bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV).

MeMento - The Brand

MeMento, Latin for "remember," is an Italian distilled aromatic water and non-alcoholic cocktail spirit. The brand is produced through aromatic distillation, so alcohol is never involved in the production. This differs from "alcohol-free" products made through dealcoholization, which can have up to 0.5 % ABV left after the process. In addition to being Alcohol-Free, MeMento is Zero Calories, Gluten Free, Sugar-Free, and Vegan. The production process looks like this. Heat boils water in a distillation chamber, creating steam that passes through the botanic ingredient. The steam and vaporized oil are condensed in a cold water chamber, and the water and essential oil are collected. The oil collects on the water's surface, so it is easily drained off and collected, leaving only the fragrant water behind. MeMento's founder, an Italian engineer named Eugenio Muraro, created the brand in 2017 due to his Master's Project at the Politecnico University of Milan. He studied and took inspiration from the techniques and botanicals used in the Florentine Book of Prescriptions (Ricettario Fiorentino), first published in 1498. The logo and packaging have five vertical lines that represent the human five senses.

MeMento White (Original)

This expression combines four aromatic distillates: Rose, Rosemary, Lemon Verbena, and Curry Leaf. Each ingredient is distilled separately, allowing every component to shine individually and preserve its more precious quality.

  • Rose = Delicacy & Preciousness

  • Rosemary = Energy & Vigor

  • Lemon Verbena = Equilibrium & Depth

  • Curry Leaf = Exuberance & Joy

MeMento Green

This expression has a strong herbaceous aroma and floral palate. Green Myrtle was used to giving balsamic notes, Lemon Balm is said to add fresh, citrus flavors, and Bay Laurel contributes a "strong and vigorous" character. At the same time, Orange Blossom brings a bittersweet and balanced flavor.

  • Green Myrtle = Purification & Freshness

  • Lemon Balm = Citrus & Spiciness

  • Bay Laurel = Pungency & Boldness

  • Bitter Orange Flower = Bitterness & Sweetness

N

Naked Malt

Naked Malt is a blended malt Scotch whiskey produced by the parent company of Macallan. This product meticulously blends three Single Malt Scotch whiskies, sourced from Macallan, Highland Park, & Glenrothes, and extra-matures them in "naked" first-fill Oloroso Sherry casks to increase flavor and richness, and bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV). This is the perfect Scotch for cocktails and fantastic in a high ball.

Naranja Orange Liqueur

Naranja Orange Liqueur, also called Controy outside the United States, was created by the La Madrileña Distillery (NOM 1142), located in Tototlán, Jalisco, Mexico, and has been distilled there since 1933. This product is made with a neutral cane spirit base and a distillate of sweet and bitter oranges sourced from Mexico. The brand is positioned as a mid-tier priced option for customers that want to use a Mexican triple sec for their margaritas.

O

Old Forester - The Brand

Old Forester became America’s “First Bottled Bourbon” when founder George Garvin Brown revolutionized the industry in 1870 by being the first to put bourbon in an individually sealed and labeled glass bottle. Old Forester is the only bourbon continuously sold by the same company before, during, and after Prohibition.

Old Forester 86

The entire Old Forester family of brands is built upon the 86 expression. All Old Forester bourbon has a mash bill of 72 % corn, 18 % rye, and 10 % malted barley. This product is the perfect all-purpose bourbon for cocktails, beginners, or budget-conscious drinkers because it delivers a genuine bourbon experience and tremendous value, with full flavor and a smooth character ideal for every drinking preference. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled at 86 proof (43 % ABV).

Old Forester 100

This expression is rich, complex, and a favorite of bartenders because the high proof stands well in bourbon-forward classic cocktails. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled at 100 proof (50 % ABV).

Old Forester Rye

This expression is the first rye option in the brand's 150+ history. The product is based on a historic recipe from the Normandy Rye whiskey brand that Owsley Brown I, son of Older Forester's founder and former company President, acquired in 1940. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled at 100 proof (50 % ABV).

Old Forester 1870 Original Batch

This expression is the first member of the Whiskey Row Series, highlighting different significant milestones and production innovations in the brand’s history. When George Garvin Brown created his original bottled bourbon in 1870, he sourced barrels from three distilleries to create a consistent flavor profile. This product emulates that process today by sourcing select barrels from three different warehouses, each from a different day of production, entry proof, and age profile. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled at 90 proof (45 % ABV).

Old Forester 1879 Bottled-in-Bond

This expression is the second member of the Whiskey Row Series that honors the U.S. Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, establishing quality regulations to ensure consumer protections. This product follows the Bottled-in-Bond guidelines that the whiskey must be aged in a federally bonded warehouse for a minimum of four years, the outcome of one distillation season,* one distiller and from one distillery and bottled at 100 proof (50 % ABV).  *January 1st to June 30th or July 1st to December 31st

Old Forester 1910 Old Fine Whisky

On October 2, 1910, a fire on the bottling line halted production of Old Forester. The mature whiskey was ready to be bottled but stored in a second barrel. The accidental final product was remarkable and became a new expression called “Old Fine Whisky.” This expression undergoes a second barreling to mimic this historical bottling, entering the second new barrel at a lower 100 proof (50 % ABV) to give the final product exceptional character, a smooth and sweet flavor profile, and a spicy finish. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled at 93 proof (46.5 % ABV).

Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style

The Volstead Act of 1920, which initiated Prohibition in the United States, permitted six distillers in Kentucky to continue to bottle bourbon for medicinal purposes. Through one of these permits, Old Forester continued to be produced as medicinal whiskey on Louisville’s historic Whiskey Row. It is the only bourbon continuously sold by the same company that has been available for sale before, during, and after Prohibition. All whiskies had to be bottled at 100 proof (50 % ABV) during this time. With a barrel entry proof of 100, the “angel’s share” would raise the proof to 115 after maturation. Old Forester pays homage to this area but bottling this product at 115 proof (57.5 % ABV) to represent the rich flavor profile this bourbon had nearly 100 years ago.

Old Forester Statesman

This expression came from a partnership between Brown-Forman and 20th Century Fox for the 2017 film “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” where a Kentucky distillery plays a significant role in the plot. Statesman is bottled Old Forester heat cycles their barrel warehouses, but there are still secret hot spots that produce barrels with intense characters and bold flavor. Statesman is bottled exclusively from these barrels sourced from the warmest parts of the warehouses, yielding an intensely rich and dynamic flavor profile. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled at 95 proof (47.5 % ABV).

Partida Tequila - The Brand

Tequila Partida was founded in 2005 by Gary Shansby and named after Enrique Partida, a 3rd generation agave farmer. Cristalino honors the 15th Anniversary of Jose Valdez, Partida's Master Distillery (Maestro Tequilero). The brand sources agave from the lowland valley of Jalisco and cooks that agave within 24 hours of harvesting to ensure maximum freshness in stainless steel ovens at low temperatures. Fermentation takes 48-72 hours and occurs in stainless steel open-top tanks with wild, natural yeast, double distilled in copper-lined stainless steel pot stills. All Partida Tequila is additive-free.

Partida Anejo Cristalino

The Cristalino expression is aged 18 months in ex-Bourbon barrels, then filtered to remove the color and heaviness from oak aging while retaining and enhancing the body, aroma, and complex flavor. Tequila Partida has an all-natural charcoal filtration process to eliminate the need for additives that are often used to help soften the liquid and enhance the flavor. This final product is bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV).

Penelope - The Brand

Michael Paladini founded Penelope Bourbon. He and his wife, Kerry, struggled to conceive a child, but Kerry finally became pregnant. The couple knew they would have a girl and wanted to name her Penelope. Mike wanted to create a bourbon brand to celebrate this moment every day. Partnering with his lifelong friend Danny Polise, he sourced the spirit from MGP (Midwest Grain Products), now called Ross & Squibb, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. They chose a unique blend of three bourbon mash bills to set the brand apart from other MGP products. The brand began with the four-grain, white label, which is still the brand's flagship product. Penelope was later acquired by the Luxco & MGP parent company, which will give the brand access to older barrels and also elevate production. Items that may have been extremely limited in the past should have more volume across the board. Mike will still be very involved in innovations, and Danny will maintain his position as master blender.

Penelope Four Grain, Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Four Grain label is the Penelope brand's entry-level and flagship product. It offers an easy drinking lower-proofed option that is perfect for cocktails. This product is a blend of three bourbon mash bills containing all four grains that average 75% corn, 7% rye, 15% wheat, and 3% malted barley. The bourbon is distilled at the Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, aged for a minimum of 36 months in new American Oak barrels with a # 4 char for the barrel staves and a #2 char for the barrel head, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV). The Four Grain won a silver medal in 2020 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Penelope Barrel Strength, Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Barrel Strength is a blend of three bourbon mash bills containing all four grains that average 80 % corn, 7 % rye, 7 % wheat, and 6 % malted barley. The bourbon is distilled in Indiana and Kentucky, aged for a minimum of 4 years new American Oak barrels, uncut with water, non-chill filtered, bottled in small batches at barrel strength, which typically ranges from 112 to 116 proof (56 - 58 % ABV). The Barrel Strength won a double gold medal in 2020 and a gold medal in 2022 & 2023 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Penelope Toasted Series, Straight Bourbon Whiskey

The Toasted Series is distilled at the Ross & Squibb Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, from a mash bill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley. Unlike the Four Grain and Barrel Strength, this mash bill is not a blend. The bourbon is aged 5 years in a charred new American Oak barrel and finished in a second new American Oak toasted barrel. The char level of the first barrel can range from #1 to #5, and the toast level of the second barrel can be light, medium, or heavy, depending on the batch. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled in small batches at 100 proof (50 % ABV). Charring a barrel is similar to flame-throwing the wood while toasting is more similar to holding a lighter to the wood. The comparison that is often used is toasting bread in a toaster. The Toasted won a gold medal in 2022  at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Penelope Architect, Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished with French Oak Staves

The Architect is distilled from a mash bill of 75 % corn, 21 % rye, and 4 % malted barley, aged 4 years in new American Oak barrels, then finished in stainless steel tanks for 6 weeks with French oak staves from the French oak barrel manufacturer Tonnellerie Radoux in Jonzac (located between Cognac and Bordeaux in Western France). Their staves are rated using the state-of-the-art OakScan® process to determine their tannin level. The brand wants to build a new and distinct flavor profile in the same way an Architect creates new innovative structures. Each "build" will have its blueprint on the back label to highlight the flavor profile wheel. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled in small batches at 104 proof (52 % ABV). Architect won a silver medal in 2023 from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Penelope Rosé Cask Finish, Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Rosé Wine Casks

The Rosé Cask Finish is the first installment in the Cooper Series pairing Penelope whiskey with wine casks from interesting wine-making regions around the world. The final product is non-chill filtered, bottled in small batches at 94 proof (47 % ABV).  The Rosé Cask Finish won a gold medal in 2022 and 2023 from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

Penelope Valencia, Straight Bourbon Whiskey finished in Vino de Naranja Casks

Valencia is the second installment in our Cooper Series, pairing Penelope whiskey with wine casks from interesting wine-making regions around the world. This product is a blend of three bourbon mash bills containing all four grains that average 75% corn, 7% rye, 15% wheat, and 3% malted barley. The bourbon aged 4-5 years in new American Oak barrels with a #4 char staves and a #2 char barrel head, then finished for 12 months in Vino de Naranja (orange wine) casks from Sevilla, Spain. The final product is non-chill filtered, bottled in small batches at 95 proof (47.5 % ABV). The proof ranges from 94 to 98 (47-49 % ABV). Valencia won a silver medal in 2023 at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Penelope Tokaji Cask Finish, Straight Rye Whiskey finished in Tokaji Wine Casks

Tokaji Cask Finish is the third installment in the Cooper series, pairing Penelope whiskey with wine casks from interesting wine-making regions around the world.  The base is a rye whiskey distilled from a mash bill of 95 % rye and 5 % malted barley, aged 8 years, then cask finished for 3 months in Hungarian Takaji wine casks, non-chill filtered, and bottled in small batches between 106 and 109 proof (53 % and 54.5 % ABV). Tokaji, pronounced Toh-Kah-HEE, is a famous sweet wine from Hungry, once described as the "wine of kings" by Louis XIV. The Tokaji casks' dessert sweetness balances the rye whiskey's spice. This product won a bronze medal in 2023 from the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC).

Penelope Rio, Straight Bourbon Whiskey Double Cask-Finished in Honey and Amburana Barrels

Rio is the newest installment in the brand's Cooper Series, but unlike the other releases, this product is not finished in a wine cask. Punt e Mes

The story goes that on April 19, 1870, in the Carpano wine shop in Turin, Italy, a stockbroker was in discussion with a colleague about the increase in share prices on that day, which was one and a half points. He ordered his usual Carpano vermouth but asked the barman (Maurizio Boeris) to add half a measure of bitter, using the regional expression “Punt e Mes.” Punt e Mes is bittersweet and sits somewhere between an Amaro and Vermouth. The increased bitterness comes from the increased levels of cinchona bark. Punt e Mes is the Piedmontese translation of “a point and a half,”; which turned out to be the ideal ratio of sweetness to bitterness. The drink immediately became popular as an aperitif before lunch. This product is bottled at 32 proof (16 % ABV) and returned to the United States in 2005.

Plant Botanical Vodka

Plant is a vodka infused with botanicals and distilled in small copper stills from Sorghum grass, grown on-site at the distillery in Kansas. The brand places a significant emphasis on sustainability. Compared to corn, wheat, or rye, Sorghum is water-conservative and pesticide resistant, and the whole grass is used, leaving behind no waste.

The Brand - Powers

James Powers, a Dublin innkeeper and whiskey connoisseur founded the John’s Lane Distillery in 1791. His son John Powers took over his father’s operation in 1817. He expanded the family business even further by entering into a partnership with his son James and forming John Powers & Son in 1821. The Powers brand features many historical moments, including the first individually bottled whiskey in Dublin (Gold Label), one Ireland’s first trademarks in 1877 (Diamond P logo), and used in the original Irish coffee created in 1943. Unfortunately, due to two World Wars, American Prohibition, and tariffs imposed by the UK, the brand has to merge with two other distilleries to form the Irish Distillers to save the Irish Whiskey category. The brand moved distilling operations to the Midleton Distillery in 1975, but bottling continues in Dublin.

Powers Gold Label, Irish Whiskey

The Gold carries on the legacy of the first whiskey in Dublin to be individually bottled. This expression has a Pot Still content of 70%, aged between 5 and 7 years in ex-American Whiskey barrels, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 86.4 proof (43.2 % ABV).

Rabbit Hole Heigold, Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

First released in 2019, this expression is a high-rye bourbon named for Christian Heigold, a German immigrant and stone mason who settled in Louisville around 1850. His work can still be seen on Main Street, but his most famous work was the ornate symbols he craved on the façade of his landmark home, which was saved from the city dump after a flood damaged the house and can still be visited today. This product is a tribute to all immigrants because Kaveh, the brand's founder, is an immigrant from Iran. Heigold has a mash bill of 70 % corn, 25 % malted rye, and 5 % malted barley, has a barrel-entry proof of 110 (55 % ABV), is aged in # 3, wood-fired, toasted & charred new American oak barrels for a minimum of 3 years. Rabbit Hole Dareringer, Straight Bourbon Whiskey Finished in PX Sherry Casks

This expression is a wheated bourbon cask finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Distilled in Indiana, Dareringer is the only expression the distillery does not distill themselves. This product was inspired by the founder Kaveh's wife, who not only converted him from Scotch Single Malt whiskey, typically cask-finished in sherry casks, to bourbon but also "dared" him to follow through on his vision of starting his bourbon brand. Dareringer has a mash bill of 68 % corn, 18 % wheat, 14 % malted barley, has a barrel entry-proof of 115 (57.5 % ABV), is aged in # 4, wood-fired, toasted & charred new American oak barrels for a minimum of 5 years, and cask-finished for 6-8 months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks sourced from the Casknolia cooperage in Montilla, Spain. This product is non-chill filtered and bottled in extremely small batches that never exceed 15 barrels at 93 proof (46.5 % ABV).

Redbreast - The Brand

Redbreast is a Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey, produced from grain to glass at the New Midleton Distillery in County Cork. The brand was created by the Dublin-based merchant Gilbeys Wine & Spirits Import, who would source distillate from local distilleries, in this case, the Jameson Distillery, then age, label, and release the whiskey themselves under their own brand. The Redbreast range boasts the complexity and distinctive qualities of an Irish Pot Still Whiskey with rich dried fruit flavor from the Sherry-cask influence. The name Redbreast comes from the “Robin Redbreast” bird that can be found on the label of each expression. The inspiration for the name came in 1903 from then Gilbeys’ chairman and avid bird watcher, who noticed that the color of the whiskey matched the color of the chest of a robin redbreast. Today, Redbreast is the largest selling Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey globally.

Redbreast 12 Year-Old, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

The Redbreast 12 year-old is the brand’s flagship expression and the definitive introduction to the Redbreast range. This product is aged for a minimum of twelve years in a combination of ex-American Whiskey barrels and ex-Spanish Oloroso Sherry Casks, then bottled at 80 proof (40 % ABV).

Redbreast 12 Year-Old Cask Strength, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

Redbreast Lustau Edition, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

The Redbreast Lustau Edition is a unique collaboration between the Bodegas Lustau in Jerez, Spain, and the Midleton Distillery. This expression is a permanent addition to the family of brands, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 92 proof (46 % ABV).

Redbreast Small Batch, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

The Small Batch expression is produced exclusively for the United States market. This product is bottled at 92 proof (46 % ABV).

Redbreast 15 Year-Old, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

The Redbreast 15 year-old is the only expression in the range with a reduced Sherry-cask influence flavor profile and is more distillate forward. This product is aged in a combination of first-fill and second-fill ex-American Whiskey barrels and ex-Spanish Oloroso Sherry Casks for a minimum of fifteen years, non-chill filtered, and bottled at 92 proof (46 % ABV).

Redbreast 21 Year-Old, Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey

Except for the 15 Year-Old expression, the range has a Sherry forward flavor profile of dried fruits, but the 27 Year-Old expression has a different flavor profile of fleshy and stone fruit because of the addition of the port cask-finish.

Ritual Zero Proof - The Brand

Ritual Zero Proof is a spirit alternative that mimics traditional spirits' taste, flavor, and sensation without alcohol. Unlike many products in the non-alcohol spirit category, Ritual is not an alcohol-removed spirit and never was a full proof spirit at any stage of production. The solution was a complex blend of all-natural botanicals to trick your taste buds that you are experiencing the burn of alcohol. This is achieved by distilling individual botanicals to lock in their purest flavor, then carefully blending to create a sophisticated profile from Siberian pine to Mexican blue agave to American oak. The batches are microfiltered, and every bottle is date stamped for freshness. To recreate the burn of alcohol, the brand went through more than 500 recipes. Some bring the heat while others rein it in, creating a satisfying glow that serves as the spine of a proper cocktail. Once opened, Ritual is good for 12 weeks.

The Chicago-based Ritual Beverage Company was founded by longtime friends Marus Sakey, GG Sakey, and David Crooch. They wanted to create a new way to mark a special moment, whether you are an artist, entrepreneur, foodie, athlete, or parent. After experimenting with hundreds of recipes and in consultation with bartenders, chefs, and beverage professionals, in September 2019, Ritual launched two flagship products, a Gin Alternative and Whiskey Alternative. The brand expanded its portfolio by launching a Tequila Alternative in April 2020 and a Rum Alternative in June 2021. In January 2020, Ritual received a minority investment from global beverage alcohol leader Diageo via Distill Ventures.

Rossville Union Rye Whiskey

Founded by George Ross in 1847, Rossville Union was the original name of the present-day MGP distillery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. MGP has a long-established reputation for producing high-quality rye whiskey, and this tradition goes back 170 years to the place that used to be called "Whiskey City" and the "Masters of Rye." Seagram's bought the Rossville Distillery in 1933. After a few more owners, MGP bought the distillery in 2011. This expression is aged 4+ years and bottled at 94 proof (47% ABV). The label of every bottle displays exactly how many barrels were combined for that bottling's batch size. MGP does not publicize the mash bill for this product, but it's safe to assume it's their standard 95/5 (95% Rye & 5% Malted Barley) mash bill. The brand also offers a barrel proof expression.
